In John Deere: Harvest in the Heartland you'll use your custom made character to navigate (up/down, side to side) your farm and the local market to develop your farm into something bigger and better. The touch screen in used for mostly everything, from picking the right tool to use, planting new crops, painting your farm, repairing old buildings, playing market mini games, plus a whole lot more. You also get the chance to purchase John Deere equipment to help you with the every day farming activities. You can purchase a tractor and drive it around your farm, tilling the dirt, placing seeds, spraying for bugs, and more.
